Innerspring Mattresses

We sell only one type of coil construction in each of our mattresses: Solid Steel Bonnel Coil.

These coils are the standard of mattress construction throughout the bedding industry. Every component of our unit is tempered steel, unlike others where only the coils are tempered

Foam Mattresses

The Pittsburgh Mattress Factory offers a complete line of latex foam, memory foam and 100% virgin polyurethane foam mattresses in every shape and size. Foam mattresses offer a wide choice of comfort. They can be made of a solid core of foam or several layers of different types of foam laminated together. Foam mattresses can also be made with each half being a different compression to accommodate couples who need different degrees of firmness.

The All-Important Box Spring

The life of a mattress depends on the box spring which gives it support. A good box spring is a critical part of a sleep set because it affects the durability of the mattress. Think of the box spring as the shock absorber of the mattress. While it should be firm, it should also have some give. Pittsburgh Mattress Factory box springs are constructed with the heaviest gauge steel coil available. If you compare sleep sets, make sure that the mattress has comparable box springs. Many cheaper mattress sets are supplied with a torsion bar base or foundation only (a box with no springs). Watch out! Our luxury firm line, available in all sizes, supports a body at all points, while giving a choice of surface comfort to ease any specific back problems a person may have. Premium Pillow Top

These sleep sets are very popular lines of no flip bedding. The pillow tops are very plush and comfortable. They are economically priced for any budget. We recommend this line for your basic needs. This is considered a good grade mattress and semi-flex base. Available in standard sizes only. 10 year warranty

Chiro-Med

This firm line of bedding is suitable for both children and adults. It provides bedding at a very reasonable cost. This is considered and economical mattress and semi-flex base. Available in standard sizes only. 5 year warranty

The Basic Bed

These mattresses and foundations are available in twin, full and queen sizes only. This economy line is designed to provide bedding at a minimal price. 1 year warranty.

Caring for Your Sleep Set
